By now officially the USA has lost more people by Covid than on 9/11. [Counting only victims killed at the attack itself, not from respiratory disease due to dust and smoke inhalation.]

The contagion curve is such that we should expect that in a few days the number of infected will match the number of victims of the Atomic Bombs. [Also counting only those killed at the bombing or immediate aftermath through acute radiation poisoning; not from subsequent radiation induced disease.]

Oh well. In Italy it has surpassed any single battle of the Roman Republic and Empire, and many of its smaller wars. In Spain it has surpassed the Inquisition or any single conquest campaign in the Americas. [Counting only military casualties, not smallpox induced deaths.]
