you are against all forms of forced (or, uninformed) genital mutilation,

Big can of worms, that. Yes. I am against all forms of stupid beliefs that end up hurting someone. Not sure why humans cut penises and clitorises off. I can understand why a surgeon will perform surgery on a young person to, say, open up a blocked utethra. But that's a medical issue, not a social/religious/superstitious one.

if justice is being carried out it's not "murder" by any legal or moral definition.

The taking of a human life, for whatever reason, is wrong. However, sometimes, we have no choice. I will preemptively kill someone preparing to terminate my life or the life of someone I love. I would have no emotional repercussions from such a serious act.

A serial killer, let's say, cannot stop himself from killing. Would the death penalty be warranted? No. Not if we, as a society, have a way to prevent him from killing again; permanent incarceration until physical death.

With that said, you must remember that I am an emotional being. If someone killed someone I love, I would be completely in favor of terminating that person's life.
