It amazes me how full of joy and vigor human beings naturally are, before the "reality" of the world sets in. What I am still trying to figure out even to this day is, is their joy and vigor really an ignorance of reality, or is it squelched by a calculated society? I guess I've never spent time amongst jungle tribes with little outside contact to realize that answer for myself.

The other night, I was in the parking lot of a supermarket, drearily walking to the door to see what semi-healthy food I could stuff my face with before bedtime. There was a cute LG and some other kids spontaneously turning the time of their mother stuffing groceries into the the car.. into a moment of joyous laughter and fun.

I know about ants and grasshoppers and preparation and all that, but I still had a mental pause anyway. Are we adults really always the wise ones?
