"we don't need help."

We all need help from time to time. Especially those of us who are forced to live secretly as pariahs. I don't for a second mean to imply that it isn't possible for us to manage as well as anybody else, or that we are diseased or deficient or abnormal in any way. Our love is natural, and beautiful. But I wish to God I had someone to talk through my deepest taboo feelings sometimes, and it's a tragedy that the social system designed to provide that service simply isn't trustworthy enough for many of us to make use of it.
