"We're not harnessing those women's biological potential, though, to produce large numbers of high-quality children, who can be the workforce of the future. Nor are the few kids those women have getting the motherly attention they could if their mom stayed home with them."

Well the workforce of the future is more white collar workers as increased automation displaces more manual labour. Women applying their intellectual abilities benefits all people including males and creates the motivation for young girls to follow in their steps and continue the rapid progress of the species.

Indeed there's a strong argument for having women as intellectual leaders since it frees men to do the more physical manual jobs. Like a bee colony or ants, have the leaders be female where intellect and strategy is more important with stronger males fulfilling the more menial physical roles.

This would bring about an even more efficient society. But automation would make males redundant and so at the very least males should sit alongside females.

Look at astronomy, science, computing or any other intellectual profession and women have made huge contributions and discoveries. Now layer onto that the fact that women were blocked from being part of these professions and yet despite making up a tiny minority of the profession they've had a massive impact. That suggests their creative impact has exceeded that of males who have made up the majority and yet have needed female impact to advance these fields.
