Hi Everybody,

I am sure that there is all kinds of speculation out there regarding the outage that occurred from 8PM EDT last night until approximately 2:30PM this afternoon.

The outage was caused by an error in new code introduced to prevent a different security issue. Originally it appeared as something else, but once the proper people could examine everything it was discovered that the site was actually functioning EXCEPT the index page was not loading.

Of course, no index page basically means no site. Unless you have a direct URL to a post, or GC Chat, etc.

So, from all of us behind the scenes, we're sorry for the interruption.
