Is it fiction?

It's kind of interesting what things people still do that have a basis long in the past that they don't even know about. Such as throwing coins into fountains. It's basis is in the Celtic religion when they would throw things, mainly people's heads if I remember correctly into streams of water believing it would make the God's grant their wishes.
