I said it in an earlier post, but I was once "put out" by Propofal.

I was out in seconds, and though it was many hours, there was no sense of time having passed when I awoke. It felt instantaneous. (This was the stuff that Michael Jackson supposedly died from).

I am now forever conflicted between an afterlife and a nothingness that I would not even be aware of, as this drug demonstrated to me. In either case, I sincerely doubt the ego will be an issue after death. Psychedelic drugs seem to have already answered that question.
