Well if people don't have the mental capacity or rights to give consent until they're 18 then it should probably extend to consent in general until 18.

So being loving and respecting their parents or teachers or friends isn't actually consensual, it's something they're forced into. It sounds like a childs life is pretty brutal, it's just one continuous list of manipulation and force from adults. Sounds horific, it must be a massive relief to hit 18 and become free to begin to be respected and asked for consent.
