I think that the survey on the makeup of pedophiles I am quoting came from surveys of sites such as this one rather than the prison population. But, as I am not able to find the specific surveys I could be wrong on that. While these sites are very small and are oriented to people who are interested in coming and writing on such things which is not the majority of the population, I do not currently see how this might make us differ from the majority of the population in terms of attraction proportions.

However, I do know that Boy lover sites have very strong memberships and are certainly not at a few % of whatever the girl lover sites are at.

It definitely makes me think the basis of pedophilia is different.Than just some proportion of men are attracted to more youthful women than others.
