When a LG becomes a teenager it starts the end of the road. Not necessarily because I want it to but simply because as girls become teenagers they tend to want to hang out more with people their own age and begin exploring their independence from all adults, including me. Of course the road never ends completely. They don't forget about you for good. They still may want to hang and talk sometimes. But they do want to be around you less.

I don't take it personally or get any hurt feelings. In fact I'm a little relieved it works out this way since I wouldn't want too much attachment from an adult even if it was one I knew since she was little. I prefer they find someone else to be happy with and start their own families. I'll always be a friend if they want me to be but nothing more.
