I used to center my attraction around the ages of 12-14, now it's more like 10-12. But I still consider myself a hebephile. I thought 12 was a perfect age, but then I watched a girl turn 10 and just become heaven. Then again, different girls mature at different rates. I know 13 year olds that if I didn't know personally and just met on the street, I would swear were 16 at the youngest (and this is from someone who pays attention to ages). Which does cause problems for them and others (and the fact that yes, they are curious about sex, but all the world wants to do is shame them because they're too young). I think we're more attracted to stages than ages, and girls grow differently, but we are also affected by personal experience. You associate positive feelings with things that represent the people in your life that you like. But yes, I also agree that pedophilia is an orientation and not a fetish. Ultimately, it's the girls we are attracted to, not their ages. There's just something about them at those ages that lights our fuse.
