The cases that stand out to me are those where one-of-a-kind items, especially art, is stolen and now will probably never be recovered or seen by the public again. Instead they're in some collection of some ultra-rich douchebag with no morals who doesn't care about buying stolen art, and it can never be exhibited.

Being "clever" - if you can call it that, isn't cool if it's used for evil.
