I don't think government agencies ought to be sticking their noses into the private sexual preferences of anyone at all, be they kids or adults.

Then again, I'll never understand why so many people today base their entire personal identity on which people they prefer sexually. And I'm saying that from a place and sexual identity so far beyond the whiny "outcast" claims of gay and lesbian people that it almost brings me great joy to see how hard they still scramble to portray themselves as the ultimate martyrs of the whole of western society.

Get over it, like we've had to. Nobody cares who you like, and they don't consider you "special" for identifying with a letter.

Jeez, build a life that's justified beyond your freakin' orientation alone. It's 2021 and it's become so incredibly cringe. Nobody's threatening to kill YOUR kind anymore. So try giving it a rest. Leave the pride flag for Flag Day.
