By definition it is a pandemic. The response to it certainly needs free debate though. It needs to be taken seriously, but what the media did was fear porn to get more people to watch the media. I mean the media at the beginning was saying 3% of the world was going to die and that might be understating. Just crazy dramatizations. Ignoring that even if it was that high it's mostly one age group that needed protection.

Of course people saying nothing should be done at all are just as silly in my opinion.
