When an alcoholic starts drinking after a lengthy sobriety, they don't know if they can ever come back to sobriety/society.

That was one reason why the song rang in my ears. EARS, not EYES. "Eyes" was just a result from fast touch typing and not checking.

I have lost many friends to alcohol/drugs, and I've also lost too many pedophile friends to... you know what.
