I was looking up a film, about 15 years old and read "...starring Elliot Page..." - I thought, who's Elliot Page? So apparently she's now a man, which I didn't know about, but now it seems they go back to your birth, and re-write everything because even if you didn't know it, you were male at that time, and so your real name gets erased and replaced with something determined 15 years in the future.

Incidentally, too bad because I liked her as a girl - meaning, when she was a girl, not when I was, because I wasn't.
