Maybe just because I haven't spent enough time around kids lately?

I'm sure I've heard minor swearing by kids, but stuff I don't even really notice, like "hell."

I'm guessing you're referring to teens? Which I'm guessing is another good reason to homeschool. They probably get it from other teens, who get it from their parents, or TV, film. Unfortunately too many adults curse in public though, too.
