Lifeline activity as been announced on GC and BC since I can remember. ie: forever.

It notifies newcomers and regulars alike about it being open. It also allows people to create post-chat discussion threads, if, for instance, chat was closed abruptly after a vol had to leave early.

Some woke COG at BC now suddenly has a problem with this and banned ILB from BC for creating a thread called 'lifeline is now open'.

What gives?
