Depression and conspiracy theories

-- This morning I decided to give myself a day off from that "thinking work" and as usual, the day off makes me depressed.

-- I happen to know a conspiracy crackpot that is, in a way, quite close to me. First conspiracies related to covid, now conspiracies related to the Ukraine war. Sigh... I cannot understand. What motivates these people?
