You have a weird friend group. Once again you have to look at what actions the country has actually taken. Not some weird friend group. I know of no one that is pro Putin on either side of the aisle.
As for not supporting fascists. Ok. But, I've heard a lot of people being called fascists for allowing people the freedom to own a weapon, or wear masks or not to wear masks, or develop their land as they want. I'm not sure you and I would even be on the same page as what that means. I'm not saying it's wrong to believe people should be restricted in what they do, just that allowing people to choose for themselves is opposite of fascism. Since to many people telling people what to do is freedom, lies are truth, and questioning anything is a sin. I'm not sure we can have a debate about fascism till I know your definition of it. Here's the dictionary definition which is what I follow- Fascism- a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism. The main point is America is not pro Putin in any appreciable way. Your weird friend group does not represent the people and has undeniably been proven incorrect by the support Ukraine has gotten from America. |
