Forget for a moment that 80% of the nodes seem to be US or Germany. It's no secret that the US spies on much of the world's communications from their intel outposts in Germany. But look closer.

Reload the circuit here at GC. You will see mostly nodes from countries affiliated with NATO and the EU. Occasionally, one node will be from outside the sphere of US influences, say India, Russia, or Indonesia. When one of these nodes appears, the page simply hangs for a brief time until that node gets booted out.

Usually I say use a paid VPN, but these days I am not even sure about those:/
