Intrigued. Selena Gomez.

She seems a completely different person from what she was made out to be in her pimped-out glory days. It's also a huge curve ball that she hooked up with Martin Short and Steve Martin, who are close friends. The age difference and appearance to be nothing at all like them, yet connected to them somehow.... intrigues me immensely.

There is something deeper going on there, hopefully something positive and special and unearthed.

As a lifelong fan of the completely bizarre and unhinged (yet original) humor of (Canadian, naturally) Martin Short, I suspect there is something very tender, rarely explored, and highly human going on with this unlikely trio.

I seek to drill deeper, hoping it is not superficially related to her unexpectedly large financial status. I prefer there is rather, a very deep learning experience for the public to be mined here.

On a side note, I noticed Selena recently, saying in the wake of JD Vance mentioning childless cat ladies, that she deals with a deep sorrow on realizing she is incapable of having children, but with dignity, and refraining from using it to take any cheap shots at anyone.

She put something heavy out there for people to consider, feeling no need to direct anyone to a preconceived conclusion. It was above politics or scoring political points. Not sure just yet, but by things I'm seeing, she *might* be someone worth paying attention to.
