GirlChat #744441
Once upon a time on this message board, people were posting about Greta Thunberg and not nicely. If I recall correctly, words used to describe her included 'spoiled' and 'annoying' or something similar.
I wasn't following her story and I had no opinion of her. I never replied to those comments, since I resigned myself to the conclusion that these were just bitter old men unfairly complaining about a perfectly decent girl they couldn't have...until now, and her little boating stunt. I find myself using words like 'insufferable' and 'obnoxious' to describe her. Everyone is praising her and calling her brave. Ha! Brave for what?? For yachting with her friends? Ultimately, that's what she did. She and the others never had any intention of reaching Gaza. It was pure spectacle. They had no plan on what they would do when they reached shore, or even where they would dock and secure the yacht. The "aid" they carried appears to amount to snacks and bottled waters for themselves. It appears the IDF did more of a rescue operation than some hostile attack. Greta, when she realized she might actually do hard time behind bars, relented quickly and signed an agreement with the IDF so she could be released...leaving her 'friends' behind to sit in a jail cell. Who needs enemies when you have a friend like Greta who will leave you sitting alone in jail? I just needed to vent. If I hear one more person gushing over her and praising the little clout chaser as brave, I think I will start tearing my hair out. Also, I wanted to admit I was wrong before. I was so wrong, and the men who posted about her were right. |
