How utterly gorgeous she was. I always liked Darla as well. She was somewhere halfway between classy little lady and total c-tease. That ain't an easy spot to be in. I've always loved any girl who can walk that precarious fine line and do it like a champ. She sang and danced some sexy songs, too. We girl lovers seemed to start getting jipped somewhere about the later 1930's.
Too bad she got a thing for Alfalfa later on, well at least on-screen. That guy went down an unfortunate path and later murdered someone IRL. Yikes. Sighh tho... dames. They always think they want the badboy or the one they think is large and in charge. Never the best way to go. (I loved Chubby myself. His line delivery was impeccable. He also did a poetic ode to Miss Crabtree (not to be confused with Mrs. Krabappel from Simpsons). That seriously classic show and its offshoots should never go away. It should remain easily viewed forever. And UNCENSORED. As historic record. ![]() |
