Being Canadian, I had often commented to my friends (verbally) that after that Ear Incident, that there might be another attempt and we are now seeing things beginning to escalate in that direction.

I spent most of my life in the States up to the turn of the millenium. I had NEVER even thought of what is happening since the start of Trump v2.0 could ever occur in America. Department of War, Canada being economically targeted and Canadians shunning the U.S., POTUS in bed with Russia, the military armed and active on city streets, the U.S. threatening to invade Greenland, for gods sake!

The U.S. Civil war (1861-1865) wasn't about slavery. That was just the campfire wood and kindling that got the huge bonfire started. It was about State's rights that the (eventual) Confederacy decided was why it didn't want the U.S. Government to control the individual, economically agrarian States. What we are starting to see, now, with LA, DC, and soon to be Chi Town and Baltimore, is the same thing that Lincoln saw.

I don't know who wrote it, but I recall someone saying that the U.S. wasn't going to die by nuclear war but by suicide.
