Back in the 80s when I was stationed on the east coast, the internet was still young, and chat rooms were like the wild west.
Well, I didn't have any way to chat, so I read in the library allot. I don't remember what I was looking for, but I ran across an article about Rene Guyon.
Reading more, I found out about the Rene Guyon Society.
Now you have to do the work and search through listing of organizations. Finally, I found an address. I think it was in LA. So, I wrote asking for more info. They wrote back asking for a donation. I donated and got a newsletter back with interesting stories and information.
I wrote again telling of my particular interests and if I could meet like minded people. They declined to provide that.
It would have been cool to meet like minded people.
Who knows what could have happened!
