You said "chore". That is not the same as a lifetime responsibility where you are responsible for every aspect if a child's life.
I was the eldest child in my family and it was my "chore" to assist in child care. That included cooking, feeding, changing diapers - at 12.
I did not raise these children. My parents did. I was the assistant. I also helped in house work, dish washing, even laundry. You know, traditional women's week. I guess you think I'm a girl?
