I believe in self-analysis and critical thinking, but to not stand with feminism (in regards to your other post) and trans rights is, simply put, to stand on the wrong side of history. I know conservatism has a divided stance on pedophilia. Half of it wants you to burn in hell for even thinking lustful thoughts, and the other half believes (whether or not they'll admit it in public) that if a man wants to marry an 8 year old, there should be nothing to stop him (including the 8 year old). But I won't sell out progress for the dubious chance that a patriarchal worldview will give certain men these privileges. Especially because a lot of those men already have them, and they aren't me.
