Thanks for sharing that. Studying sex-offender therapies "from the inside" and comparing their value with different "types" of "offenders" would make a very interesting Ph.D. project. Unfortunately, almost any researcher would have his or her own biases.

Here's some comments and questions....

Before you circulate it, you need to proof it for facts. Specifically, you need to make sure you don't present false assumptions as fact, and that you don't present your opinions as fact. Here's some examples of things that need "massaging:"

We pedophiles typically do not break the law – of the dozen I knew, nearly all were convicted for possession of child pornography, not sexual contact with minors.
It would be clearer to say "... do not have unlawful contact with minors ...."

Nearly every incidence of child molestation is perpetrated by a heterosexual male having marriage problems and turning to their children, or step-children, or nieces and nephews.
"Nearly every" makes me think 90% or more, and I don't think that's the case. Try "the overwhelming majority" if you can back it up with statistics, or "over half" if you can't. Even then, make sure it really is "over half."
OR you can say "Of the 200 men I knew in the program, nearly every one arrested for child molestation was a heterosexual male having marraige problems...."

Now for the questions...

You have to complete probation to ever get out of the system.
Does this apply if you are sentenced to "the max" and serve it all? For example, if "the max" for CP possession was 20 years, and you were sentenced to "10 to 20" but served 20 straight, is there probation afterwards?

It was as though I was talking to someone I had never met before - a complete stranger.
Sounds like the people running the SOT programs would call this a success story. Is this a reasonable observation?

Penitentiary is a dangerous place to be a known pedo at.
Does your state not have administrative segregation for people like sex offenders and former policemen? Many do.
