Epic fail

My ex was visiting a friend and stayed there all weekend. A. didn't like to go and decided to stay with me (for those with no children: the child is the one who makes decisions in a family..).

On Sunday morning my eye fell on the growing pile of laundry in my bathroom and decided to fill my washing machine and clean up this mess. I never separate color and white, after a few times washing you can mix them without problems.

And suddenly it was in my hand: A.'s first bra! I picked it up and looked at it: a flimsy black thing with no supportive capacities at all. My mind got filled with thoughts about perky little breasts that would form a perfect match with this bra and after a while i threw it in the machine.
Hit the 30 degree button and go, a dirty mind but clean undies!

I'd better spend my time reading the label and notice the fact it was never washed before. After we had breakfast i took my laundry out to dry.

But, OMG, the sheets looked like someone dragged them around the gutter. Grey stripes and spots. T-shirts gone, what a mess.
The little bra didn't survive either, color changed into dark Grey and parts of it had shrunk.
Obviously i did not hit the 30 degree button..

A. watched and didn't say a word.
Second mistake was my remark to A.: "well, you don't really need a bra yet, it's not a real problem i think".
The conversation that followed is not suitable for this board i guess, but lead to a third mistake.

This time not just a mistake, more like an epic fail.
"OK, CALM DOWN I WILL BUY YOU A NEW ONE!" i told her.

Now I'm in deep shit, i will have to go to the lingerie store and buy another one. In my mind i see myself standing there: "can i help you sir, do you need anything special?" , "nothing special ma'am, just a training bra for a 10yo girl".
Two eyes will be looking at me, telling me "this is the worst pervert ever to enter my shop".
Of course i could have ordered on Internet, but i forgot.

O.K, i will take this as a man and go now, sigh.
