If someone only has a raw sexual interest in someone else, that is not love. If someone does not have a strong emotional bond with someone, that is not love. It may be difficult to define love, but it's often obvious when love is not present. Love can have a dark side to it, and I have certainly never denied that, however; love can make us both selfish and controlling, for instance. But it does suggest that someone would go out of their way for someone else.
