Any tech savvy folks care to give us a heads up on what the heartbleed bug might mean to us given the type of 'safe surfing' many of us do?

From what I read, there is little we can do about it except to stay off the internet (obviously I'm paying attention to that one). Just wondered if anyone has anything to say about it.

Most of the tech articles go way over my head.

Also, anyone know how I should protect my LG's from getting the heartbleed bug? My girls think most bugs are cute so I need to warn them. What does it look like anyway?
