Ask anyone: "is genocide evil?"

Almost anyone you ask would say that genocide is absolutely wrong and evil. You might get a few of the nazi-types who truly believe that non-whites should all be exterminated, but that's a very small minority.

Now consider, how many times have you heard "all pedophiles should be killed?" Those who do not say this will likely say they should at least be imprisoned, and many of those will agree to torture.

Is this not genocide? Is it not? And do we not say that genocide is ultimately wrong? Yet they call for the eradication of an entire group of people. Even if you believe pedophilia is truly wrong, does it make any sense to answer pedophilia with GENOCIDE? But then again, there are many who call for genocide while believing genocide to be evil.
