Between an actual mental illness which can be treated and an innate sexual orientation which cannot be changed. Our bone to pick, and I'm sure you are well aware of this, is with their conflation and obfuscation of pedophilia with mental illness, which does all of us a disservice, pedophiles and non pedophiles included, rather than with psychiatry in and of itself. Within my own family unit, all of my immediate family members have had these issues and benefited from their treatment, but that is not possible for me as a pedophile/hebephile. I think you should have an implicit understanding of this and be able to relate, rather than just stick up for your "friends" like Cantor and other mental health professionals, who think they're doing us a huge favor just by giving lip service to our basic humanity, while haphazardly offering "help" in many cases that would provide more harm than actual help. Most of these people have no idea how to actually help us because they're approaching it from the standpoint that we're sick or mentally ill, when in reality most of us simply have a socially unacceptable sexual orientation and whatever mental illnesses we may have are either unrelated to our sexuality or they correlate with societal prejudice rather than internal issues.
