The use of '"virtuous" self-loathing' kind of sounds like it's directed at me, and it makes me roll my eyes.

That's okay; I roll my eyes at most of what you write (it's less stressful than repeatedly shouting WTF?!) It was at least a reference to people like you and those in your organization, though not necessarily you specifically.

Iatrogenic harm is the whole story, which was the distinction I was trying to make; between those who understand that, and those who see love and/or sex with LGs as inherently bad in some way. I won't waste a whole lot of (figurative) breath on trying to explain myself or giving analogies or examples with citations, because I've watched in other threads at how little that does to sway you... and I don't have Dante's seemingly infinite patience in continuing to point out the flaws in your arguments and your consistent logical fallacies.

"My guess is that she was already a developed teen, so it really has nothing to do with pedophilia or girl love."

Okay, then let me amend my previous comment; "...it often makes no difference if a pedo or hebe doesn't act on an opportunity presented them..." and the rest can stand as it was. The only issue is still the iatrogenic harm, whether the student was 6, 13, or 16 years old (or anywhere between.)

Love is never wrong. It can be dangerous to love, it can hurt emotionally and mentally to feel love when you can't express that love, and many times throughout history some kinds of love have been condemned by some societies; in those times and places, it is often safer (or more prudent) not to express those kinds of love. Not because love is wrong, but because of the harm that can be caused by simply loving differently than is expected, or in a way that is condemned. This is the case now, in many parts of the world, as far as MAPs with LGs/AGs (and vice versa) -- it is prudent not to love, but it is not wrong to love. It is never wrong to love.
