I'm a new user, though I've been reading posts here for a year to a year and a half.

First off, I should say that I'm not a pedophile. My story involves beginning to think about a couple of sexual taboo topics (incest, pedophilia, and childhood sexuality) some years ago, which has broken down some of my previous concepts about those topics.
This thinking has caused/fueled/been a part of mental troubles for me, and this membership is part of my dealing with and evaluating my thought history.

I'll briefly outline my opinion on the subject of relevance for this board:
- I don't think child sexual activity is necessarily abuse.
- I think the public discourse could benefit from a more accurate dividing line between what is harmful/abusive and what is not
- I think an understanding of the level of kids is important for avoiding displeasure and harm.

As I find natural, when someone argues something, then what I will probably communicate is my disagreement. If someone is pro-something, I will bring arguments against, and vice versa.

I have thought about joining for a couple of months, but hesitation is often strong in me, and just coming up with a username has taken time. The one I chose, doesn't have any meaning to it. I don't drink whiskey.
I assume it's not saying too much that I'm a male in my late twenties from a European country.
