Strawberry,

I feel so similar to this that reading your post felt like reading my own thoughts. (Although I tend to be pretty much obsessed the whole time!)

. I find myself slowing my car if I see a cutie in the back seat of the car next to me.

Yes, and there are so *many* distractions driving to work in the mornings...

I flip the tv channels in the hope of seeing just one moment.

Yeah, I do that all the time too.

I feel physically pained when I see a pre tween or teen

There's an ache that wells up from deep inside every time I see an adorable little pre-teen.

Do your feelings overwhelm you at times to where you just wanna stay in bed or stay stoned?

There have been times I've not known what to do or how to deal with the intensity of feeling... and it's more the emotional frustration. Not being able to express your feelings openly, to tell a little girl exactly the way I feel about her. That is the most difficult thing to deal with, because those feelings turn inwards and create dreams that are impossible to fulfil. Fantasy has its uses, but for me it is also beginning to create a sense of desperation, because it reinforces the distance from reality... it sort of says, 'These are the things you can never say, never do, never be, never experience.'

You asked how others cope with these feelings... I'd normally say I cope with it through friendships with children in reality, and letting imagination do the rest in fantasy. But that does create its own frustrations. I guess I cope with it because in the end I don't have any choice but to cope with it... and there are plenty of good times, even though the good times have their limits.

Sorry this wasn't a more 'upbeat' reply - I know there are so many positives to being a GL, and I wouldn't swap it for anything. The feeling of being in love with a little girl is an incredible experience just in itself, and even more incredible when you get to develop a friendship with her that really counts for something. It's just that frustrations accompany that, you can't have one without the other... And one thing about frustration is that, if it is intense, it has to ease off - I find I get swings in mood. And that can provide a good relief...
