90 degrees? To us here in continent Europe, that is almost boiling temperature of water! Never understood how you could live with the Farenheit scale, and that you haven't yet embraced the metric system... :-)

Regarding your Q, I would say that meeting and getting to know LGls in a public pool (or any other public places) is very difficult. As tSa_Nanya and pupster mentioned below, you should get to know the parents before you proceed to build a friendship with their offspring. As we all know "children are the property of parents", so fraternizing without the parents knowledge could cause suspicion. Short and casual rendevous in the pool is usually acceptable. It's also not that bad an experience either. :)
