Brings Back Memories

When I worked in a vacation care centre, there was a cute 11yo red head who asked me if I was married. When I said I wasn't, she asked me if I had a girlfriend. When I said no, she proceded to point out every pretty woman she saw, including the female workers and the mothers of the other children. She also seemed to pay me a lot more attantion than the female workers. She drew me pictures, made me a small clay sculpture and friendship pins and bands and when I was sitting down with some other children she would come up to me and lean on my shoulder and sometimes rested her head against mine. I cannot count how many times she would come over to me and give me a hug. Sometimes she would be whispering to some of the other girls and when I would go over near them, they would all giggle. When I asked them what was so funny, they would quikly say "nothing" in perfect unison, and then they would giggle again. The director of the centre said she thought this LG had a bit of a crush on me aand I said that I thought it was sweet. I have many more memories of the LG's at this centre as well as the other ones I worked at during my time as a child care worker, but I will leave it at this one memmory for now.
