I've been posting responses tonight saying that I haven't had time to read someone's long post but would comment anyway, based on others' responses and my skimming.

Well, here's a switch: I read your post but I'm not reading anyone else's response now. This is to control the time things take and also get to the point... which I promise I'm about to do now....

I don't make Girl Moments artificially. My Girl Moments are from being somewhere, where it happens girls are too, and a girl or girls do(es) something, to which I respond in an appropriate manner, and it adds up to an interesting situation.

I can't move to another country or adopt a child. I do know some LG's, but the one I had the most special friendship with (introduced in my first GC post, under the name not-yet-ll) I haven't crossed paths with recently, due to changes in circumstances.

Now here's where I'm crazy: She still lives nearby. I can still contact her. There has been no falling-out with her or her family for me personally. It's just that she doesn't go to the place where I used to see her all the time, that brought us together because it's where I go anyway. I've just been doing other things.

As I've said before, I will contact her again. And maybe your resolution will spur me to do it sooner... really do it.

I have had my girl times not too long ago, and my special friend and I have had our first season of seeing each other. (Though not long enough that we did more than shake hands when it was time to go. I don't know what to expect in the future.) There are a lot of good things in my life besides girl-love. But nothing can replace it.

Guardian, you may want to email me, and I can see if my point of view can be useful in getting more meaningful forms of connection with girls for you (though your opportunities are not the same as mine, and I didn't even have to seek this out). Please note, however: There are technical problems that may delay my access to my secure email account. For example, right now I will have to restart my PC, and lose my Net connection, before I can get the mail system to connect with me.
