What concerns me is that both are symptoms of cancerous growths, although of course she would not have lived until her present age with any malignancies. But it certainly indicates at least a potential for concern with her bone marrow. She definitely has a moderate to almost severe case of leukopenia.

I don't see - how can it be that serious?? Doctors just said that WBC count needs to be increased because of her immune system, but noone mentioned cancer, or bone marrow transplant. I know that bone marrow transplant is very painful operation, so is there any alternative?

Also, I do not understand why she cannot be admitted to the hospital.

The hospitals are overcrowded, and most of the doctors here are simply jackasses. They just don't want to admit her, they keep saying that it's nothing serious. She goes to a better hospital - they say that she should be hospitalized, but they can only admit patients aged 16 or more.
BTW, her older sister almost died few years ago because her doctor didn't send her to operation of removing appendix (I dunno how the operation is medically called). She kept complaining about pain on the right side of her abdomen, but the doctor insister that appendix is located on the left side. You get the idea what doctors are like here...

Do you happen to know what meds she has been on? Neupogen, Leukine, alpha-interferon, and interleukin-2 are fairly common for this.

No, sorry, dunno what she's been taking. Recently her parents tryed acupuncture since they have heard that it can help. Her WBC count got slightly increased, but still too low (she has to do a blood test every 2-3 weeks).

Thanks. I just felt it might be stupid cause I thought that maybe it is nothing serious. And also because I really don't know almost anything about medicine (I'm 18, btw).
