#8: Another GM - 80yo girl

No, that's not a typo.

While I love everything about little girls, what I love most
is what I think of as the "girl spirit". Sometimes this girl spirit
shows up even among old women.

I was on a train recently when I observed an elderly lady
who looked to be about 80 years old. She seemed to have
that girl spirit. I couldn't help but think of what she might
have been like when she was a little girl, wearing a pretty dress
like little girls wore in the 1920's.

The conductor announced that the train was being taken out of service,
and all the passengers would have to disembark at the next stop,
and take the next train. We both got up and headed towards the door
when we approached the stop - when the train stopped unexpectedly sudden
and this old lady fell - right into my arms. Because I had been
thinking about what she must have been like as a girl, and had been
paying attention, I was able to catch her and prevent her from knocking
her head on the floor. I felt like I had some connection with
a long-gone girl lover who was still looking out for her.
