LOL--Looks a bit like Bougeureau

An amazing artist--my alternate nick, Lateralus, has two sigpics, one of which incorporates a Bougeureau painting, suitably censored to show what is going to happen to hundreds of thousands of masterpieces if the antis ever get their way.

Are you a fan of any particular artists? I love many Victorian-era artists, particularly children's book illustrators like Maxfield Parrish and Walter Crane. I love the Symbolist painters, as well, and many of the Impressionists--Mary Cassatt in particular.

As for modern artists, I love Maurice Sendak, Cam de Leon, Dave McKean and a host of comics artists, especially those working in the indie comics field. I myself am only now learning to paint (in acrylic). I've been drawing all my life, though, but I don't have a lot of published work.

It'll be nice to have a fellow artist here to discuss art other than manga, LOL. Not that I dislike manga, mind you--it's just that it seems to be the only art many of these guys know or care about, and then only because of the Japanese appreciation for children's sexuality. Ah, well. Glad your here. Hey, is it true Beatrice was a little girl when you fell in love with her? :-p
