Yes Lux, the Utopian ideal may be a dream, but it is not an option at present.

In order to work towards a goal, we need to be able to visualize it; both the finished stage, and the incremental steps along the way. And we need to be willing, without losing sight of the goal, to alter our ideas about how to get there in response to future accomplishments.

I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea how to get there. But a first step would be to take a step backwards to the 70s. Take a long look at the freedoms lost in the last 30 years. And try to see how those freedoms came about in the first place, and how we lost ground. I think that a good first step would be reclaiming lost territory before setting out in search of more.
