I agree with LGsinmyheart.

I just had occasion this past week to be reminded that I can be quite flexible about physical attraction. I met this lovely German gal, early 20's, who was not only too old for me, but also had a face and a body type that weren't attractive to me (a little on the chunky side, but still healthy), with multiple piercings to boot (I hate piercings). She even had blonde hair (I prefer brunettes). Even so, she was alive, she had an intelligence and curiosity that were deeply attractive to me, and I found I could disregard her physical appearance. I was also reminded that I met a similar woman - also German - about 10 years ago.

That curiosity about everything, that willingness to learn, that love of learning, those are the things that attracted me, and those are qualities that little girls tend to have. Perhaps that is what I am really attracted to, and it makes little difference whether the girl is 4 or 40. (In fact, I've also met a 50ish Japanese lady recently who I feel quite comfortable around, for much the same reason.)

Now, of course, for physical form I still prefer little girls, but that is only part of the equation. If a girl I loved could keep that little girl spirit, then I believe I would keep loving her - well, as long as there is a her.

I am sorry that you have had some negative experiences. Perhaps these men figure that what is past is past, and don't want to intrude on your life now - in which case you may want to point out to them that even though you don't want a romantic relationship with them any more, you would still like them to be in your life. Perhaps they can't deal with the changes they have seen in you. Perhaps they are just jerks. In any case, I hope you are able to move on.
