Nice set list!

It's a bit Twilight Zoneish, though, as I learned 'Paper Moon' over a recent 2 week vacation, and I added it to our band's set list [most of our material being Irish pub tunes]. In fact I played it out for the first time last night [Fri. Jan. 6, '06], much the astonishment of my two band mates.

We already do 'Little Red Riding Hood' [in fact I even play an 'abridged' version of that one for my pre-schoolers...They love to howl along!] and in another life I used to play 'House of the Rising Sun' and 'My Ding-a-Ling' [lol]...

The song 'Paper Moon' is listed as having been written by Harold Arlen, Billy Rose and E. Y. Harburg; but I believe the version they used in the movie 'Paper Moon' was performed by Paul Whiteman. It's been released by various artists including Nat King Cole, his daughter Natalie Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and even James Taylor.

Janis Ian holds a place in my heart for her song 'At Seventeen': It absolutely broke my heart as a young man, and it always came to mind with every dejected-looking young girl I glimpsed.

Sounds like you and taf-kat are keeping busy with your music; keep it up!! It would be TOO cool if there were a possibility of jamming together one day. Though most of our venues are fairly local; if the pay is good we don't mind the travel... lol
