I'm hopeful he was seriously asking you to write what you went through. I would add that request to the thread on my own behalf. Do write a fictional story (or non-fiction with all the names and locations changed to protect those you want to and yourself from law suits).

I myself am writing some of my experience on both sides of the line (adult and child) into a book, of which I hope to have published one day. I think, if those of us who love children could band together and encourage such endeavors, we could make a statement others would read before they'd even know where those statements were coming from.

And anyone who loves children would not only write about their positive experiences, maybe they would write about the negative ones. Because some people don't recognize love when it's right in front of them, and some people don't recognize abuse in the same manner. Isn't it easy for many to confuse the two?

But even being brave enough to come forward and talk about such things in a place like this is a strength. I commend you for that.
