I've heard some people argue that the issue is that children are having the candy bar forced on them by the adult -- that they don't want the candy bar, for whatever reason.
Others argue that the candy bar contains an ingredient commonly thought to be unhealthy. At least, unhealthy to children -- adults can handle it, for reasons unknown and unexplained. No decently controlled experiments with sufficient sample size have been conducted to determine the ingredients' effects on children, compared to adults, so scientifically it remains a claim.
I say that these claims should be tested.
