I do see your POV rockhard, probably the biggest difference is I've been here long enough that I do know LostKari, Gater, and JD quite well. While not super close to any of them, I do trust who they are and they and even JD who intentionally stirs up riots generally are kindhearted guys who do actually always IMO have a child's best interest at heart.

One problem I have in your statement Having said that, I don't believe that there is anything wrong with getting close to children or even having a romantic, safe, and healthy sexual relationship with a child. I just think that it's illegal. is that the only illegal part is a sexual relationship. You can be close to a child, you can even have shared romantic feelings for a child, you just can't do anything about it. You can't cross the line. The reason that several people here take your post negatively is because those are the people who do have close relationships with children, and trust in themselves and the love they have for kids that they will not cross that line.

I guess I shouldn't have singled you out personally as not being able to control yourself. I concede you were trying to help, but that doesn't mean that there isn't such thing as positive adult-child relationships that don't involve sex, including ones that involve a pedophile that don't cross the line into illegality and never will strictly for the LOVE of the child.
